Being organised 2

In 2017, a focus of the Women’s Issues working group of Umverteilen! Foundation is once again the flight and asylum of women and trans*. In the past year we received 30 applications to our Being Organised funding programme and already supported 8 of them financially. We were very pleased to be able to make this contribution to strengthening the position of refugee women and trans* and are looking forward to starting the next round.

We promote artistic, political, social and/or cultural projects which strengthen the self-organisation of refugee women and trans*, and deal with the issue of women and flight in a supportive manner.

Funding is to be used to help women to organise themselves independently, so that they can assert their rights, organise themselves independently, and achieve social change. Funding ranges from 500 to 5,000 euros.

The project proposals should be submitted in the period between 1 September 2017 and 15 November 2017. Proposals may be submitted by independent, autonomous women’s and trans* groups or NGOs worldwide, and the projects can be carried out anywhere. The proposals can be submitted in German or English and per email. Application forms and financing plan can be downloaded here.
